The idea of Barefoot shoes is a bit oxymoronic to be sure.
However, when it comes to being good to your feet and making the right choice for your body (i.e. going barefoot) yet still being protected from all of the dangerous stuff in our man made environments (glass, nails, other nasty stuff) barefoot shoes are the way to go.
Check out the barefoot shoe options currently available.

It never ceases to amaze me that the common belief still exists in our culture that women should not lift heavy things. For some reason, men and women are treated like two totally different species when it comes to exercise. Of course we do have our differences (anyone who’s been in a relationship will assure you of that!), but our requirements for health as a species remain one and the same. Men and women do have different physical capacities and abilities, but we are all homo sapiens with the same essential necessities. I see magazines that tout the stick figure bodies of starving women or fitness magazines that tell you to spend hours on the treadmill with ankle weights on- but I never see anything out there that tells women that it’s HEALTHY and NORMAL to be strong. In my opinion, that’s insulting to women and just plain wrong.

Hope you’ve enjoying a spectacular 2010 so far.
I don’t know about you, but I’m going to try as hard as I can
to make this year my best year ever.
In order to do that I’ve been looking back on 2009
to see what valuable lessons I’ve learned, so I can better
help you achieve your health, fat loss, and body transformation goals.
I hope you do the same and leave your best lessons from 2009
in the comments section below, maybe you’ll help someone
avoid learning their lessons the hard, slow, and painful way.
IMPORTANT NOTE: True Learning results in behavior change,
if there’s no behavior change it’s just fact collecting,
which does not accomplish anything.
I know this because I’ve spent a lot of time “fact collecting”
with nothing to show for it.
Applying just one good lesson from 2009 will matter so much
more than memorizing your lessons and thinking about them.
1. You don’t have to do it on your own – as a matter of fact
I think it’s impossible to do it on your own.
2. Your imagination is your most powerful, exiting, and
fun workout tool.

5 mile run with the new VFFs! They were awesome and my body felt the best it has felt in 6 years. Check out the video and get yourself a pair!
We are born to run!
Found this the other day at feelthedirt.co.uk
I’ve been looking for a video like this for a while now. We are literally born to run, and anyone who tells you otherwise has just had the innate human animal drummed out of them by the modern world.
Leave a comment below and let me know what you think!
Enjoy.
